At the end of 2016 McDonald’s Jim Sappington, executive vice president of operations and technology systems, claimed that the next two years would see the company make ‘significant’ increases in its investment in technology.
Since 2015 the company has introduced a digital signage menu board across its restaurants, and in recent months added more than 7,000 digital menu kiosks in locations around Europe.
